What’s new

What we shipped, month by month.

October 2026

Viewers can look, but not change

People with view-only access can no longer take actions that belong to your team: refunding, cancelling or recording a payment on an order, editing billing details, checking a guest in or out, or changing a room’s status. Those buttons are now hidden for viewers, so it’s clear what they can and can’t do.

Teams, and tasks you can hand to a whole team

Group your staff into teams and manage their members from settings. A task can now be assigned to a single person or to an entire team, and whoever it lands on is notified – everyone on the team if it’s a team task – so nothing you hand off gets missed.

Offer products as add-ons on a package

When you put a package together, you can now offer products alongside it as optional add-ons, so guests can round out their booking with the extras you choose.

Cancellation fees on the order timeline

When a cancellation fee is charged, it now shows up on the order’s timeline, so it’s clear what was charged and when.

See when each fee was charged

The Fees sheet and the financial report now track the moment each fee was actually charged, rather than when it happened to be entered. Fees that come in from imports or arrive a little after the event they relate to now land on the right day in your reports.

Services keep their own opening hours

Each service now has its own opening hours that decide when it can be booked, in one place under Services › Opening hours. A service with no hours set stays bookable all day, just as before.

Service bookings finish on their own

Staff no longer need to check a service booking out – it finishes by itself once its end time passes, and the order is completed automatically. A booking nobody checked in reads as a no-show once it’s over, and you can still mark attendance or cancel it afterwards.

Mark whether a booking was attended

Mark a service booking as attended or a no-show, switch between the two, or clear the mark entirely – so your records reflect what actually happened.

Fit a booking in by rearranging rooms

When a booking arrives and no room is free – for instance when a channel has overbooked you – SERVOS can shuffle upcoming guests between rooms to make space for it, then show you what it moved. It’s off by default; switch it on in your room assignment settings.

A clearer message when the payment form won’t load

If the card payment form can’t load at checkout, you now get a clear message instead of a stuck, blank screen.

Failed sign-ins no longer lock the owner out

The protection against someone guessing a password used to count every failed attempt on an address, so a handful of bad tries from elsewhere could lock the real owner out of their own account. The limit now applies per device, keeping the guard in place without punishing the account holder.

Occupancy counts archived accommodations and room blocks night by night

Occupancy, RevPAR and the day-of-week breakdown now work out available rooms night by night: an accommodation you have archived still counts for the nights before you archived it, and blocked rooms are left out on the nights they are blocked. The occupancy report’s available room nights per accommodation follow the same rule. Past figures may shift if you have archived accommodations or use room blocks.

Automatic emails and tasks

Set up workflows that run themselves: pick a moment in the booking – a stay is booked, a guest checks in or out, an order is placed or cancelled, or a set time before or after check-in – and choose what should happen then. SERVOS can send the guest an email, notify your team, or create a task, every time, whoever is on shift. Add conditions so a workflow only runs when it should, personalize emails with details like the guest’s name, and keep each workflow as a draft, active, or paused from the new Workflows page.

A fuller order activity timeline

An order’s timeline now records payments, cancellations, and every edit to the order alongside the confirmations already shown, so you can see the full history of what happened and when at a glance.

September 2026

Tidy up forgotten point-of-sale carts

When a point-of-sale cart has been left open for more than a week, SERVOS now offers to pick it back up or clear it out, so stale carts don’t pile up.

Smarter message translation

Automatic translation now leaves a message alone when it’s already in one of your country’s languages – a Norwegian guest writing to a Norwegian property no longer gets an unnecessary English translation line.

Guests can register themselves before arrival

Guests can now open their stay with just their booking reference and the booker’s last name – no account or email needed – and fill in the guest register themselves ahead of time. The form feels at home on a phone, saves as they go so a reload never loses their progress, checks each field as they type, and shows their stay details, booking reference, and confirmation code along the way.

Connect Google Hotels as a sales channel

You can now connect Google Hotels alongside your other sales channels. Connect it, choose which of your accommodations to publish, and start receiving bookings from Google.

Lock a stay to its room

Pin a stay to its assigned room so it won’t be moved by accident, with an optional note explaining why. A lock icon on the stay’s bar in the timeline shows at a glance which stays are held in place; unlock it whenever the room needs to change.

See and resend the stay confirmation email

The stay confirmation email now appears on the order’s timeline next to the order confirmation, so you can see exactly what the guest received and resend it if they need another copy.

Cover images look right in Gmail

The cover image at the top of confirmation and other emails no longer shows as a blank box in Gmail.

Guests can build a whole trip in one cart

On your booking site, a guest booking a stay is now offered experiences and events that fit their dates, and can add them to the same cart without losing their place. The cart shows what’s already included, flags when an event is nearly full, and even suggests a place to stay when someone starts with just an experience or a ticket.

See how a change to a stay affected the price

When you change a booked stay, the resulting price difference is now recorded on the order’s timeline, so it’s clear what the change cost or saved.

Your own public booking site

Every organization now has its own public booking site where guests can browse and book stays, experiences, events, and passes. Pages show your photos, prices, and details, a map with directions to your venue, and a calendar that only offers dates you can actually accommodate. Manage the site’s cover photos and copy its link from your branding settings.

Set a custom price on an order line

Staff can now set a new price on a line that’s already on an order – hover the line to reveal the price pencil.

Search from anywhere

A global search box – opened with a keyboard shortcut (⌘K or Ctrl+K) or the search button in the header – now finds orders, customers, stays, appointments, tickets, products, and events across your organization. Your recent searches are remembered for next time.

Suggested tasks from booking notes

SERVOS now reads an order’s booking notes and turns requests – late/early arrival, extra amenities, room preferences – into suggested tasks pinned to the order. Accept or decline each task; nothing lands on your list without a person’s say-so. A new Suggested filter on the Tasks page gathers them all in one place.

Clearer message threads

Conversation threads now break by day with Today, Yesterday, and date separators, and a burst of replies from the same person within a few minutes is grouped into a single turn. If a reply fails to send, you’ll see a “Not delivered” note with a retry button instead of a technical error.

Know when a guarantee card charge fails

When a guarantee card charge fails, SERVOS now records it on the order’s timeline, so you can take action.

August 2026

Guest messages automatically translated

Messages received in languages other than your property's native language or English are now automatically translated to English.

Friendlier date pickers

Picking a month or year from the calendar’s dropdowns no longer snaps the picker shut, and you can now jump to future years – handy for booking and scheduling further ahead.

Tasks

A shared to-do list for your team. Create tasks, assign them to colleagues, and check them off – from a dedicated Tasks page and a rail on the dashboard. Pin a task to a stay, appointment, room, or order so it travels with the booking it’s about, and let SERVOS suggest tasks when something needs attention – a guest whose registration is still incomplete, for one – to accept or dismiss.

Save incomplete guest registrations

Front desk can now save a guest’s registration part-way through and finish it later, instead of completing every required field in one sitting. Check-in still waits until the registration is complete.

In-app help

A new Help panel in the app header answers staff questions from a guide covering every part of SERVOS, with sources cited from the docs. The same guide is browsable on its own at /docs.

Dashboard suggested actions

A rail on the dashboard now surfaces what needs attention right now – a dirty room ahead of an arrival, an unassigned booking, an unpaid direct booking, incomplete guest registration – grouped into Now, Soon, and Later today, with the fix done right there. The whole dashboard updates live as bookings, payments, and check-ins come in.

Dashboard overview cards

Today’s key numbers now sit above the schedule as cards: rooms tonight, housekeeping status, guests in house, tickets sold on event days, bookings and payments so far today, and open dining tabs where enabled.

Redesigned dashboard: guests rail and today’s schedule

The dashboard opens on a guests rail – arrivals, departures, guests in house – followed by a Today schedule that merges stays, appointments, and events into one list, with tomorrow folded in underneath. The old grid of draggable tiles is gone.

Guest portal timeline times in the organization’s time zone

Appointment and ticket times in the guest portal’s booking timeline now display in the organization’s time zone instead of UTC – a 20:30 Oslo appointment no longer shows as 18:30.

Pass thumbnails in checkout

Passes in the public checkout cart now show their product thumbnail, matching accommodations, tickets, and services.

Book stays with a check-in date in the past

Staff can now create a stay booking with a check-in date before today – useful for backdating a walk-in or correcting an earlier booking.

Fixed order edit crash for stays without an assigned room

Editing an order containing an unassigned stay crashed the page. Unassigned stays can now be edited like any other.

Products, Passes, and Fees tabs in financial reports

The financial report now breaks out product sales, pass sales, and fees into their own tabs and export sheets, each listing order number, customer, tax-line gross, ledger account, and payment method – every row that feeds Ledger Account Totals now reconciles straight back to its order.

Faster report previews

Sales, consumption, payments, and credit notes previews in the financial report now paginate instead of loading everything at once, so large reports stay responsive.

July 2026

Guest registration status in the stay preview

The stay details sheet now shows a Registration row with the same “X of Y added” badge used on the stay page’s guests card, so front desk can check registration progress without opening the full stay.

Google Hotels sales channel

Google Hotels can now be connected from Settings → Sales Channels like any other OTA. Bookings arriving through Google’s ARI integration were previously labelled with the raw channel code – they now show up correctly as “Google Hotels” everywhere.

Non-virtual OTA cards labelled correctly

SERVOS now records whether the card an OTA sends with a booking is a virtual credit card or the guest’s own card – Google Hotels, for one, passes the guest’s real card. Upcoming charges wear a “Virtual” badge only when the card actually is one, and the manual charge page has been renamed to Guarantee Card Charges to match.

Cancellation policies for services and event tickets

Services can now be assigned a cancellation policy the same way accommodations and events already could – set it from the service details section, and appointments booked for the service snapshot it automatically. Event tickets get a staff Cancel Ticket action with a fee preview quoted from the ticket’s policy and an option to waive it.

Guest portal link in order confirmation emails

Order confirmation emails now include a sign-in link straight into the guest portal, so guests can jump directly to managing their booking instead of hunting for a login.

Photo slideshow on guest portal stays

The stay hero in the guest portal now shows every accommodation photo as a swipeable carousel, with tappable pill dots, keyboard arrows, and momentum swipe. Rooms with a single photo still get a plain, static hero.

Cancellation terms on guest portal bookings

Stays, appointments, and tickets in the guest portal now show the cancellation terms frozen at booking time, with the countdown window anchored to check-in, the appointment, or the event as appropriate. The terms disappear once a booking is cancelled.

Payment status on guest portal orders

Guest portal orders now show a payment status badge on both the orders list and the order detail page – highlighted while money is owed, muted once the order is settled.

Redesigned guest registration wizard

The stay guest registration wizard in the guest portal now uses a stepper with a progress bar, back navigation, and inline field errors. A failed save jumps back to the step that needs attention instead of failing silently.

Send registration request from the stay

Front desk can now email a guest registration request directly from a stay’s guest card, prompting the guest to complete registration through the guest portal ahead of check-in.

Guest self-registration open to everyone

Guest self-registration through the guest portal, previously private preview, is now available to every organization.

Payments report with VCC marking

The financial report gains a Payments tab and xlsx sheet listing every succeeded payment in the period with its receipt and order number, plus a by-method breakdown for bookkeeping. Virtual card payments are now labelled distinctly everywhere the payment method shows.

Confirm before discarding guest edits

Closing the staff Add/Edit guest sheet with unsaved changes now asks for confirmation instead of silently discarding what you typed.

VCC charged on check-in instead of check-out

OTA bookings with a virtual credit card now charge on check-in date rather than check-out, matching how most channels expect settlement to work.

Payout transactions link back to orders

Each payout transaction is now matched to its originating payment or refund, so the payout detail view links every charge and refund straight to its order.

Block multiple rooms at once

Room blocks now cover more than one room – select several rooms in the block form and they share the same dates, type, and note. Each room’s availability syncs to connected channels independently, so a multi-room block behaves exactly like separate blocks would.

Check-out confirmation for unsettled orders

Checking a guest out with an unpaid balance now routes through a confirmation step, matching the existing guard for dirty rooms and incomplete registration. Front desk can review the balance and confirm, or collect payment first.

Retail-only POS carts skip the customer requirement

A POS cart only needs a customer when it contains a stay, ticket, appointment, or pass. Carts with only products or open-price items – a round of drinks, a retail sale – can go straight to checkout without assigning one first.

Pass thumbnails in order items

Orders containing a redeemed pass now show the pass’s product image in the order items list, matching how other item types already display.

Tables for dining

A first slice of restaurant and bar support: create tables under Dining → Tables, then tap one from the POS sidebar to seat a tab. Table tiles show at a glance who's seated, item count, running total, and how long they've been sat. In private preview – talk to us to enable it for your account.

Receipt printers

Register network receipt printers under Settings → Hardware. Add a printer by name, IP address, and port; edit or remove it later. First driver supported is Epson ePOS.

June 2026

Redesigned POS checkout

Checkout now opens as a slide-up panel from the cart instead of a dialog, with a clearer choice between charging a terminal, sending a payment link, or creating an order to pay later. Terminal charges show live status in the same panel, with retry and cancel in place.

Real-time cart sync

POS carts now sync across devices instantly – add an item on one register and it shows up on another open on the same cart right away, no refresh needed.

Swipe to delete cart items

Swipe a POS cart item left to reveal a delete action, or swipe most of the way and release to remove it outright. Matches the fixed-width swipe patterns from mobile apps, with haptic feedback on supported devices.

Terminal charges from order view

Charge a Terminal reader directly from an order's payment history – no need to open POS. Select 'Charge with terminal' from the payments dropdown, pick an active reader, and the charge is pushed to the device. Useful for phone bookings, front desk orders, and anywhere a card needs to be taken outside the POS flow.

Check-in confirmation for room state and guest registration

Checking in a guest now routes through a confirmation step when the room is dirty, occupied, or guest registration is incomplete. Each reason gets its own step in the flow – staff can review and override, or resolve the issue first. The guard fires from every check-in trigger: the stay page, the timeline, and the detail modal.

Guest registration improvements

Three improvements to the guest registration wizard in the portal: a dedicated date-of-birth picker replaces the free-text field; tapping outside or dragging down a half-filled form now asks for confirmation before closing; and progress through a multi-step registration is remembered across page reloads so a network hiccup doesn't lose the guest's input.

Alerts

A new alert system flags situations that need operator attention. When an OTA booking arrives and no room can be auto-assigned, an alert is created. A warning indicator in the app header shows the count of unresolved alerts – clicking opens a panel listing each issue and linking directly to the affected record. Alerts clear automatically once the underlying issue is resolved.

Unassigned OTA bookings

OTA bookings that arrive when no room is available are now accepted and held as unassigned stays, rather than failing to import. An alert is raised so front desk can assign a room when one opens up. Direct bookings still require a room at the time of creation.

OTA sales channels

Connect and manage OTA channels – Booking.com, Airbnb, and others – directly from Settings → Sales Channels. A two-step wizard picks your OTA and property ID, then maps your rooms and rate plans to the channel. Channels can be enabled, disabled, re-mapped, or removed. Cancellation fees land on the tax group you configure.

Guest registration

Collect and store guest details for all occupants of a stay – names, dates of birth, nationalities, and document numbers. Staff can register guests from the stay view; guests can self-register through the guest portal. Check-in is blocked until registration is complete, satisfying statutory guest-register requirements. In private preview – talk to us to enable it for your account.

Scheduled VCC charge filter

The manual VCC charges page now shows the scheduled charge date (or ‘on cancellation’ for refundable bookings) for each OTA order in a dedicated column. Filter the list to scheduled charges only so you can queue up tomorrow’s virtual card runs without scrolling through every OTA order.

Creating customers

Create new customer records directly from the customers list. The Add Customer button opens a modal – enter a name and email, and SERVOS links the record to an existing global profile for that address if one exists.

Booking times in the organization’s timezone

Appointment and stay times in the booking cart and checkout now display in the organization’s timezone, not the customer’s browser timezone. A customer in a different zone booking a 16:00 slot now sees 16:00 – consistent with the confirmation email and guest portal.

Passes in the storefront API

Pass listing, eligibility checking, and redemption are now available via the storefront API. Retrieve a customer’s active passes, check eligibility against a specific service, and apply a pass as a cart item programmatically. Full reference at /docs.

Cancellation policies

Define time-based cancellation rules and attach them to accommodations, services, and events. Set a free-cancellation window, then tiered fees for later cancellations – a fixed amount or percentage of the order. When cancelling a stay or appointment, SERVOS quotes the applicable fee and posts it to the order automatically. Manage policies and set per-category defaults under Settings → Policies.

Anonymous walk-in guests

Walk-in POS orders no longer require a customer profile. Create an anonymous guest at the register and complete the sale without collecting a name or email – useful for bar tabs and quick counter sales. The guest record can be identified and linked to a real customer later if needed.

Passes

Sell prepaid session packs for any service. Create a pass product with a unit count (e.g. 10 yoga sessions), optional expiry, and service eligibility – sold at POS or through the public checkout. Customers receive a unique pass code on purchase and enter it at checkout to redeem a session. Manage pass products and view purchase history under Memberships → Passes.

Terminals

Physical card readers are now supported for in-person payments at POS. Register readers under Settings → Payments → Terminal Readers. In the POS, select Terminal to push the charge directly to a reader – tap, dip, or swipe, no manual entry required.

Upcoming VCC charge in order payment history

OTA orders with a pending virtual credit card charge now surface it in the order’s payment history alongside any recorded payments. Shows the scheduled charge date (at check-in) or ‘on cancellation’ for refundable bookings, so front desk can see exactly what’s coming without digging into channel manager notes.

May 2026

Billing invoices

Organization owners can now view their SERVOS subscription invoices under Settings → Billing. Lists all invoices for your active subscription with payment status, amount, and links to download PDF receipts directly.

Default tax groups

Set default tax groups per product type in Settings → Taxes. Defaults apply automatically when creating new products or variants, so you don’t have to assign tax groups one by one every time you add something to the catalog.

Admin API

A read-only, organization-scoped API for integration partners: orders and revenue, plus appointments, stays, and tickets queryable by visit date, and an events feed for incremental sync. Admins create, rotate, and revoke secret keys under Settings → API; customer data stays pseudonymous. Full reference at /docs.

April 2026

Customizable dashboard

A new home screen for the admin app with draggable tiles for today’s check-ins, check-outs, housekeeping status, occupancy, and revenue. Tiles update in real time and replace the old default of landing on bookings.

POS overhaul

Redesigned point-of-sale layout with infinite-scroll customer search, a count badge for open carts in the sidebar, and creator avatars on cart tiles. Faster product selection and clearer split-payment handling. Trevarefabrikken’s bar runs on it.

Order filters

Filter orders by payment status, fulfillment status, and source. Cuts the time spent finding the order you actually need from a long list.

Smart room assignment

Gap-aware scoring picks which room to assign on a new booking so you don’t fragment availability. Reduces same-day reshuffles when an OTA reservation lands on top of a direct one.

Housekeeping

A new module for room status and cleaning assignments. A kanban board for the front desk and a mobile worklist for cleaning staff, with real-time updates flowing back into the stays timeline. No app install required.

Multi-organization switcher

Users with access to multiple organizations now switch from the sidebar. Useful for groups operating several venues from a shared login.

Guest portal

Guests can now view and manage their bookings (past, current, and upcoming) through a self-service portal at their account. Reduces the volume of "can you check my booking?" emails to your front desk.

Analytics v2

Revenue per guest, booking pace, and cross-sell rate KPIs, with sparklines on every card and trends colored by preferred direction rather than the sign of the change. Compare any period against the previous one.

Vipps

Vipps, the Norwegian mobile payment, is now available as a payment method in private preview. Talk to us if you’d like to enable it for your account.

March 2026

Products and open prices

Products are first-class in POS, with spreadsheet-style price cells in the variant table and support for open-price products at the register.

Real-time stay badges

Stay badges now update via Inertia Cable, so the timeline reflects check-ins, check-outs, and channel changes the moment they happen. No reload, no stale state.

Ticket scanner

Concert and event check-in is significantly faster, with offline-tolerant scanning and clearer feedback for door staff. Tested at Trevarefabrikken’s spring concerts.

Discount codes

Discount codes work across stays, events, services, and add-ons, with validation, free-checkout flows for fully discounted carts, and bundle-level discounts on multi-item orders.

Reports and receipts

A unified reports page covering financials with tabbed navigation, occupancy with SSB-style metrics, and consumption across stays, tickets, and appointments. Order receipts can now be downloaded as PDF.

February 2026

External payments and OTA charges

Record external payments against orders with configurable methods, and charge virtual cards from OTA bookings manually with full audit history. Pairs with the new payment-request flow for outstanding balances.

Order editing

Edit orders after the fact with deferred constraints. Add items, adjust nights, or correct occupancy without re-creating the order from scratch.

Confirmable check-in and check-out

A new confirm-before-commit flow for stay check-in and check-out, plus an undo for accidental check-ins. Front desk can move faster without fearing the slip.

Express Checkout

Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other express methods on the public checkout. Fewer fields, fewer drop-offs.

January 2026

Stays timeline rebuild

Click-to-place and resize on the stays timeline, with drag-based room reassignment. Edit-mode operations are now batched and validated together.

Point of sale

First release of POS for walk-ins and on-site sales, with sales-channel awareness, service-slot availability, and a unified product browser. Same cart that handles bookings handles the bar.

API documentation

Public API reference at /docs, covering accommodations, services, events, carts, and more. Includes an LLM-readable endpoint for AI tools that need to read about the API.

Services and appointments

Bookable services with resources and appointments, surfaced through the V0 booking API and admin. Treatment slots, sauna sessions, and similar resource-bound offerings now live in one place.

Order refunds

Issue full or partial refunds against orders with audit history, plus the ability to cancel pending refunds before they settle.

Channel manager

Channel manager is live: bookings sync in via webhooks, and availability and restrictions sync out. Booking.com and Airbnb stay in sync without manual updates.

December 2025

Mews importer

Migrate from Mews with a one-shot importer that pulls historical bookings and customer data. Zero-touch handoff for venues switching off Mews.

Checkout settings

A dedicated checkout settings page with theme-preview cards, so the booking flow on your domain matches your brand without touching code.

Pricing rules

Rate plans with weekday, length-of-stay, and date-range conditions. Synced per sales channel, with overrides per room and accommodation.

Stays and rooms

First-class Stay and Room models for accommodation bookings, with check-in/check-out as separate domain objects, sales-channel awareness, and OTA reservation codes searchable from the stays table.

Payouts and balance

A payouts page showing balance, pending transfers, and historical payouts, with CSV and XLSX export and pagination. See exactly what hit your bank, and when.

November 2025

Public event pages

Standalone public pages for each event with SEO meta tags, ticket variants with sales windows, and a redesigned ticket card. Cart expiration is now visible in a countdown component on checkout.

Sharing event sales stats

Send a password-protected link to a promoter or partner showing live ticket sales, daily revenue, and variant breakdowns. No SERVOS account needed on the recipient side.
