Setting up packages

Last updated: 26 Oct 2026

A package has four tabs in its sidebar: Setup for the name, guests, and images, Availability for dates, Components for the price and what's included, and Email for the booking confirmation. This page covers creating a package and the Setup tab.

Creating a package

Under Packages, press Create Package. The dialog asks for:

  • "Package type": "Stay" ("Built around a room. Guests book nights.") or "Bundle" ("Products sold together, with no dates."). You can't change this later.
  • "Name", for example "Ski Weekend 2026".
  • "Short description", one line shown on the booking page.
  • "Description", the longer text guests read on the package page.

Press Create Package. The package opens on its Setup tab. New packages start as Draft, so nothing is on sale until you publish.

The Setup tab

Each row has a pencil that opens the "Edit package" panel. Press Edit at the top to edit all fields at once.

  • "Visibility": Public, Draft, or Private. Public packages are listed and bookable on your booking site. Private packages are not listed, but guests with the direct link can open and book them; search engines don't index them. Draft packages don't open at all.
  • "Short description" and "Description", as above.
  • "Guests": "Minimum guests" and "Maximum guests". Leave them empty for no limit. A guest who asks for fewer or more sees "For at least 2 guests" or "For at most 4 guests" and can't book.

Below the details, Add Media uploads images for the package page. The first image is the thumbnail. If the package has no images, SERVOS shows the image of the booked room instead.

Before you publish

Setting "Visibility" to Public or Private checks that the package can be sold. SERVOS refuses to publish with one of these messages:

  • "Add a room before publishing": a stay needs at least one room on the Components tab.
  • "Set a price before publishing": a fixed-price package needs a price on the Components tab.
  • "No room has space for 4 guests. The largest has space for 2.": the "Minimum guests" is higher than any of the package's rooms allow.

Publishing also needs the package to be on sale today to show on the booking site. See the sales period in Availability.

Deleting

Delete in the package list's row menu removes a package nobody has bought. Once a package has been sold, deleting fails with "This package has been sold, so it can't be deleted." Set it to Draft to stop sales and keep the history.

Common questions

Can I turn a bundle into a stay? No. Create a new package with the type you need.

The package doesn't show on our booking site. Check that "Visibility" is Public and that today falls inside a sales period, or that the sales period is empty.

Can I sell a package at the front desk? Yes. The Packages tab in the POS sells any package that isn't a draft, with the same rules as the booking site. A package with a service that needs a time is sold from the booking site. See Selling at the counter.
