Collections

Last updated: 26 Oct 2026

A collection groups products so the register can filter to them. Every public collection becomes a pill at the top of the POS Products tab ("All", then one pill per collection), which is the fastest way to find a product on a busy counter. Collections are still being finished, so the "Collections" entry under Products in the sidebar is greyed out; the page is at /product-collections on your organization's address. Creating, editing or deleting collections, and adding or removing their products, needs the Member role or above.

Two kinds

  • "Manual": you pick the products. Press Add Products on the collection page, tick products, and confirm.
  • "Automated": products join by matching conditions on "Title", "Product Type", "Tag", "Price", or "Compare-at Price", with "all conditions" or "any condition". The set is recomputed every time you save the collection.

Press Create Collection, give it a name like "Summer Sale", pick the kind, and save. The collection page has "Title" and "Description", the "Conditions" editor for automated collections, the "Products" list, "Publishing" with the "Status", and "Media".

Publishing

Only Public collections show as pills in the register. Draft and Private collections are hidden there. Collections appear nowhere customer-facing; there is no online shop for products.

Common questions

How do I order the pills? You can't today. They appear in the order the collections were created.

Can a product be in several collections? Yes. A manual collection lists whatever you add; an automated one matches whatever fits its conditions. A product page shows the collections it belongs to, read-only.

Where do I remove a product from a collection? On the collection page, the product's row has a remove action. For automated collections, change the conditions instead.
